The Mentor Support Collaborative leadership team are volunteers from various organizations. We give an honorarium to our AV/Tech support, speakers, and survivors who share their testimony or contribute in any way to our training.
The Mentor Support Collaborative is an LLC. Donations are not tax-deductible when given directly to the Mentor Support Collaborative. However, a local 501c3 organization has graciously offered to be the conduit for donors who would like a tax-deductible receipt. Donations will be directed to the Mentor Support Collaborative. Please contact us for more information.
In Portland, our trauma informed trained mentors and churches provide law enforcement and DA Advocates with resources such as hygiene products, gift cards, and mentors to walk alongside survivors. There is always a need for clothing, hygiene products, used cell phones (Gen 5 and above), and gift cards to help survivors. Because we do not receive any kind of grants or funding, we rely on donations.
God is rising up His Church to help heal complex trauma survivors. Training ministry leaders how to respond with compassion and how to walk alongside of survivors is a big volunteer commitment. If you would like to help with this mission of training, here are a few ways:
Donate MTS Curriculum for a survivor or mentor.
Donate resources, such as a used smartphone, hygiene products, or gift cards for victims served by law enforcement or a MSC Survivor Support Ministry at participating churches.
Pray for us, this ministry, the survivors our mentors work with.
Pray and Dream with us! We are dreaming of opening a women’s home for adult survivors so they can focus on their healing and not have to worry about working or other demands while they rest, restore, and rebuild their lives. Please pray with us about how we can accomplish this huge goal, in collaboration with others who have the same dream.
Integrity in all we do is our top priority and we want to be transparent, honor God, and be frugal with His gifts, so please contact us for more information or if you have any questions. Thank you for making a difference!
