Training and equipping mentors within the Church to offer safety, HOPE, and healing from abuse, including sexual exploitation.
The Mentor Support Collaborative LLC, is an Oregon benefit company with a trauma informed leadership team from several organizations, committed to making a difference in the lives of those who have experienced abuse and complex trauma.
Our mission is to educate, train, and equip the Faith Community. We envision Trauma Informed churches and organizations in every community, trained and equipped with a healthy survivor support program to help the abuse and complex trauma survivors heal. God is rising up His body for this work and we are seeing people healed and set free, experiencing His redeeming love and restoration.
We offer faith based training for a compassionate response to abuse and other forms of trauma. We've designed a faith based program to develop healthy leaders, educate, and equip the Faith Community for this work. We teach best practices, trauma informed care, and how to develop both a survivor and mentor support team to ensure sustainability and long term success. All training sessions are taught by trauma informed leaders with first hand experience, who have done their own work of healing first, which is critical before engaging in anti-trafficking work.
Collaboration is essential as we work to restore wholeness to survivors because it takes a community to meet all of their needs. Therefore, as part of our training, law enforcement officials and trauma informed community partners teach about their role, services, and resources available to survivors. Because of this unique partnership with our local law enforcement, churches with a Survivor Support Ministry can provide resources, trained mentors, and trauma informed counselors to help survivors through their healing journey. This creates a strong caring community and wrap-around support team for survivors, mentors, law enforcement, and other community partners.
A Caring Community and Ongoing Support: We want to develop a culture of community where we encourage and empower one another while doing this work together. We desire to see churches and organizations thrive after completing the MSC training, therefore, we provide the tools, materials, resources, and procedures to establish a Survivor Support Program, creating a strong and caring community. We also provide support to the trauma informed counselors who work with survivors daily.
Together we offer Hope and Healing!
